Action at the SCARC Fleagate

Food, fellowship and bargains dominated the Fleagate at Joe Tucker Park today.

Four legged friends came too

David, N4BEN brought his "four legged child" to the fleagate.

It was cold at the Fleagate Today

It was not too cold to prevent purchases at the Shelby County Amateur Radio Club "Fleagate" in Joe Tucker Park today. In spite of snow early in the morning this "unknown" ham found something to buy. But hey, YOU KNOW WHO HE IS !

Birmingham D-Star Net Changes Time

The Tuesday night net on the 145.41 D-Star repeater is moving to a new time. In an attempt to accomodate more people's schedule requirements, we are moving the net to begin at 8:30PM on Tuesday nights. This will place the net between two analog nets -- The Shelby County net on 146.98(-) at 8:00 PM and the Jefferson County net on 146.88(-) at 9:00 PM. Come join us for a very informal net tomorrow night - Tuesday at 8:30 PM. ------ WB4FAY

A mid January repeater party attended by a group of hams. From left to right we have Wayne, WB4RHA, Bob, KC4AF, and Ken, KS4NX. The main repeater is lying (not in state !) on the table before it receives final enhancements before we commence testing with the remote base. Others in attendance but not in this photo include Bert, KG4BEC, Lee, KI4NMD and John, K3FP.

Thank you for your hard work on our behalf!

Rod, N1YZ

The attendees were reminded that it was time for annual membership renewal.

There as no Treasurer report given. However, later in the meeting Lee Aured KI4NMD presented an itemized bill for $196.87 for the materials used to upgrade the repeater facilities. A motion was made, seconded, and voted to pay this bill.
